Google Maps

Directions to event:
I65 North, cross TN/KY state line & take 1st exit.
Exit @ Exit#2 (HWY 31W (Nashville Rd))
Turn Right or South @ bottom of ramp onto HWY 31W toward Flying J.
Kentucky Downs is approximately 2 miles south on HWY 31W @ right.
Look for white fence, Kentucky Downs sign.
Distance from downtown Nashville = 40 miles of Interstate (I65).

Directions for carpool:
Short drive, free admission & plenty of free parking.
If you want to meet on the north side of Nashville to ride together...., then I suggest meeting @ Kmart parking lot adjacent to I65 @ Goodlettsville, Exit 97 / Long Hollow Pike that is 23 miles from Kentucky Downs.
Traveling north on I65, Exit Right, merge to left lane, then left turning lane to safely turn & light by McDonalds, & turn behind gas station into Kmart parking lot. Park near fence...close to Long Hollow Pike.

Where to meet @ the track;
From I65 exit 2 & traveling south on 31W.
As you approach Kentucky Downs, watch for a white plank fence on the right close to a white water tower.
Pass the water tower & turn in first gate on gravel drive. You will see rows of gravel & rows of grass in this area. I hope to secure an area along the fence close to the track , & closest to the green wooden tower between the gate into the track area & the tower. This will all make sense when you arrive.
You can select the google map link, then select satellite view or ground view of the area ahead of time for familiararity.

A shuttle will be provided between tailgating area & activity area.
However, I feel certain most will want to talk. We will be in close proximity to everything.

There was a blurb in the Tennessean that stated they'd prefer people not bring in outside food. Check Michael's link, though.

Time of the race and how long you expect most of the group to stay? I won't be needing to carpool since I live fairly close to the KY line anyway. Thanks!
