Calling all Night Crawlers! No fishing gear required! Free event!
Mark your calendar! We will be crawling throughout downtown at the First Saturday Art Crawl! (link to: First Saturday Art Crawl) Art galleries will host receptions and art openings FREE to all of us! After being shut in due to all the snow and ice (smice), it's time to shed our cabin fever and get out on the town! This is a very popular monthly event. Most galleries serve free wine and other refreshments. The gallery crawl is a great free night on the town! Don't forget your walking shoes! Now's your chance to wear that new outfit you got for Christmas or the one you didn't wear on New Years! Or dress casual, your choice.

The Nashville Downtown Partnership provides free shuttles among the galleries from 6 pm to 10 pm.

Every first Saturday of the month, multiple downtown galleries open their doors to avid art lovers as well as anyone else that is just curious to see what the Gallery Crawl is all about. The Nashville Downtown Partnership provides a free shuttle between galleries. Click here for a shuttle map.

Below is a small list with the links to a few of the Galleries that participate in this monthly event:
The Arts Co.
Estel Gallery
The Lost Boys Center
O Gallery
The Rymer Gallery
The Tennessee Art League
Twist Art GalleryTinney Contemporary

Hey everyone, the concensus is that we will by pass going to the The Lost Boys Center and take it in at some time in the future. Dress comfortable and warm for this evening. The shuttle and the galleries will be cozy, so consider dressing in layers.

Thanks, Deb! See you tonight. How do people dress for these events? It's going to be cold.

FYI: The Lost Boys Center is not going to be part of our tour tonight. If we have enough interest, I can call them and they will set up something for us. What this means for us is we would need to meet there first and then move our cars afterwards. (or carpool). AND I would need to know ASAP if we want to do this so I can make the phone call to the Gallery to be ready for us at 5:30.

Sherrie, check the link : http://www.parkitdowntown.c... I think there is a lot near. I think it's the Harvey's lot for $3. Double check on the link to be sure.

Is there a parking lot close that is not a parking garage? If so, where?

I've been to the Lost Boys Center. It's pretty neat. They have carvings, paintings, sculptures and a ton of other cool stuff to look at. They also have a work room in the back they may let you check out if there aren't that many people. Plus, it's down the street from 3rd & Lindsley if you want to wet your whistle or listen to live music if you decide to make that your last stop on the list.

I'm fine with Arts Company. I hope we manage to make it to the Lost Boys Center at some point. If you've never seen the paintings depicting their flight, it'll give you some serious food for thought.

Take a look at some of the linked galleries. What gallery would you like to meetup at first? It doesn't have to be "The Art Company".
