I was a-trembling, because I'd got to decide, forever, betwixt two things, and I knowed it. I studied a minute, sort of holding my breath, and then says to myself:
"All right, then, I'll GO ........."

BIG RIVER RACE with PA+
We said there warn't no home like a raft, after all. Other places do seem so cramped up and smothery, but a raft don't. You feel mighty free and easy and comfortable on a raft.
We catched fish and talked, and we took a swim now and then to keep off sleepiness. It was kind of solemn, drifting down the big, still river, laying on our backs looking up at the stars, and we didn't ever feel like talking loud, and it warn't often that we laughed—only a little kind of a low chuckle. We had mighty good weather as a general thing, and nothing ever happened to us at all—that night, nor the next, nor the next.

Congrats Michael, and thanks to all the great PA+ peeps who know how to turn a miserable day into a wonderful time. You're the best.
Congratulations PA+ Hunk Finns!
Congratulations to Michael King for winning the grand prize!! Not only did he win the River Race portion of the contest, he also came in 1st place in the costume portion. Once again, congratulations on a well deserved win, and for doing PA+ proud!!
Paddle Adventures Plus members braved the weather in costume & paddling.
I had a great time assembling a costume for me, & for the kayak.
The 5 mile paddle on the Harpeth in the rain was awesome.
The competition was tough but friendly.
I appreciate everyone's support.
Thanks again to Team Green Adventures, Lightning 100, and Tennessee Repertory Theatre for the opportunity to promote & participate in "Big River Race". We had a great time.
Huck goes to Cali!
I have other plans for the evening but will be there at least partly in spirit. I wish all of you could score the trip, but congrats in advance to whomever does (they haven't told me). Enjoy Yosemite.
The play is great! Loved it and you will too! We sat in the second row, up close and personal. Very entertaining and well worth it. The kids loved it!
Several Paddle Adventures Plus members placed in the top 5.... for 5 pair of tickets & a chance for the grand prize to be announced at this event.
I look forward to seeing everyone there. Don't forget to wear your costume. I will definitely be getting my Finn on again.
We had a great time at the race. Check out the photos, & don't miss the next one....particularly if you like a competition, adventures, & fun.
good luck!!!!
You can still get tix at the door. just no guarantee of seating. I love seeing a play! I loved my writeup and wish more people could attend.
I tried to read this book alound to my son once. It's hard to speak the way it's "spoken" in the book. But I love that it was written that way.
we actually ended up having to get tickets to Tues. show on the 23rd. Wish we could have for the 24th, but seating wasn't right. If one of you win, I will try and reschedule for the 24th at last minute.
Deb, definitely plan to decorate for fun & for points in The Big Race.
Michael are you decorating your kayak for the race on the 21st?
I have been looking forward to taking my family to see this. It is going to be a great production! No one else can spin a tail like Mark Twain. I even built a raft with my brothers and tried to launch it at the yacht harbor. It sank and my parents were called.
Thanks for posting Deb. I am excited about the the production of Big River @ Tennessee Repertory Theatre, & the Big production on the Harpeth River on Mar 21st.
