Introduction

I am a senior and I have been paddling a rec type kayak for several months now. Mostly alone, but would like to find like minded folks to paddle with. Been mostly on the Harpeth near the Cumberland. Also G'ville lake in AL with upacreek.

Are you a native Nashvillian or where did you live before moving to Nashville?

I was raised in Nashville, moved to Memphis for too long a time. Came back to Nashville about 10 years ago

Paddlers: What do you paddle - kayak or canoe? What type of water is your first preference, second and third?

My present boat is a percetion prodigy but I want a longer boat already for larger water. Like flat waters, don't feel secure enough yet for the faster stuff. Like fishing from my yak, both fly and casting. Just paddling is the real reason to go.

What are your favorite things to do?

Hard to decide which I like to do most, my motorcycle or my kayak. I also like to work with wood. Hoping to build a pygmy osprey s this winter. Photography, most out door but damaged knee and pelvis keeps me from much walking and hiking now.
